Riverside offers two major opportunities for students to challenge themselves in developing a variety of skills and abilities that will provide a foundation for achievement in their future life.

Challenger Program

The Challenger program aims to encourage Junior and Middle school students to explore and engage in life and leads them to examine everything they do in light of Biblical values and understandings.

Participants in the program work through a variety of challenges to earn badges relating to different topics.  Each challenge consists of four aspects:

  • Knowledge
  • Skill
  • Service
  • Values.

Badges are earned when a challenge has been successfully completed.  Each challenge will require completion of 3 hours of involvement in all four aspects of the challenge.

Day School students display their badges on their hat bands (Middle School) or crowns (Junior School).  Distance Education students display their badges on pennants which are provided when they enrol in the program.

PB (Personal Best)

The PB (Personal Best) Program challenges all students to set themselves short-term, medium-term and long-term targets particular to their individual needs, giving each the opportunity to achieve and excel at their own level.
