The focus of sport is on the development of basic skills for the most broad-based sports and the encouragement of participation.  Students at Riverside undertake a daily fitness program to improve their health and ability to perform at studies.

For the purpose of House competition, the college is divided into two houses: Gideon (colours orange and black) and Joshua (colours red and blue).

All divisions of the school (Infants, Intermediate, Middle and Senior) have their own Sports Carnivals each term.

  • Team Sports
  • Athletics Carnival
  • Endurance Sports
  • Swimming Carnival

The college is part of the Small School’s Sports Association and competes in an interschool Sports Day at Bauple.

Students who achieve at this level form the Small Schools Representative Team that competes at the Wide Bay Region Sports.
