At Riverside, education is set in the twenty-first century..

Riverside students will access a secure portal to our "virtual school" - allowing them to download lessons, activities, notes, articles and resources, submit work electronically, and to better communicate with teachers and fellow students.

The password-protected portal allows tailored login screens so that parents can easily access report cards, newsletters, discussion groups, surveys and updates from teachers.

Through our five-year vision (2006-2011), Day School classrooms will become state-of-the-art starting with the introduction of interactive white boards. These boards connect to computers and allow visual presentations to classes. They also record written information. This means that lessons can be recorded on CD or DVD and provided for students who are absent, for revision, or even as an additional resource for Distance Education students.

We will introduce video conferencing allowing Distance Education students to participate in Day School lessons.

We recognise that not all families will be able, or perhaps choose, to enter into the technological component of the College - be assured that all current modes of delivery and communication will continue.
