It is important that students consider their own futures very carefully and select subjects appropriate for their future careers and study needs. Subjects should be chosen carefully as Students should have a good understanding of their abilities and interests and evaluate their own strengths and weaknesses to make realistic career path choices.

Students and families are guided in the development of a Senior Education and Training Plan.  At Riverside, this can include learning full-time through the Day School, completing modules at TAFE, involvement in a part-time employment, apprenticeship or training program, studying through Distance Education, or a combination of these options.

Year 10 students must complete a Senior Education & Training Plan outlining their goals and plans for study, training and work until they are 17 years of age.  This plan will be lodged with the Queensland Studies Authority as required by the Department of Education.
