Riverside Christian College is a rapidly growing P-12 Independent Christian College with a Day School and a Distance Education department.

Head of Distance Education (DE)

We seek a Head of Distance Education for 2018, to oversee and grow the Distance Education program which currently services over 400 students. The successful applicant will be required to:

  • Manage staff & students in a Distance Education setting
  • Create an effective and collaborative working relationship within the DistanceEducation team and between Distance Education and Day School
  • Ensure the delivery of modern and relevant curriculum to 21st century learners
  • Work as part of College Executive to improve the profile and quality of services offered by Distance Education

Skills and Experience

  • All applicants must have current registration with Queensland College of Teachers. 
  • It is essential the applicant possesses strong Christian character and is supportive of the College Christian values

Selection Criteria

  • Demonstrated ability to manage staff in the provision of a quality service

  • Knowledge and proven ability to establish challenging and engaging curriculum that meets the need of individual students

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively to families, students and colleagues including the use of appropriate interpersonal skills

  • Ability to create and attain benchmarks in relation to enrolments, quality of service and financial stability

  • Proven ability to ensure deadlines are met
