Again, our Homeroom structure allows for the gradual release of responsibility from the teacher to the student.  As our Middle College students strive for independence, their Homeroom Teachers give them increasing opportunities to be responsible for their own learning through negotiated curriculum, tasks, forms of presentation and deadlines.  Our students also take the lead in our uniquely Middle College Student Led-Conferences, where they take ownership of their learning successes, struggles and goals, and share these with their families.
